Bucharest, Romania, 2nd Jul 2025 - In a world increasingly defined by distraction, confusion, and the constant search for identity, author Adrian Gabriel Dumitru invites readers to pause, reflect, and question everything in his newest release Perceptions: Philosophical Essays About the Illusion of the Self. The book challenges traditional narratives about the self, reality, and truth, encouraging readers to embrace a deeper understanding of human existence.
Now available globally on major platforms, the book can be accessed through:

In Perceptions, Dumitru collaborates with Arij, a young thinker, to explore what it means to observe, feel, and interpret life through subjective experiences. The work is structured as a dialogue of ideas—at times contemplative, at times boldly provocative—inviting readers to consider whether the “self” they believe in is merely a reflection of evolving thoughts, emotions, and external conditioning.
“At its core, the book is not about delivering answers,” Dumitru explains. “It is about raising the right questions. Our lives are shaped by perceptions—constantly shifting and never absolute.”
The book dances through themes of duality, illusion, and self-exploration. With humility and authenticity, Dumitru admits that much of what he believed at one stage of life he later came to question, then eventually abandon. These shifting beliefs, he argues, are not signs of confusion, but growth.
By writing with Arij, the author also emphasizes the contrast and harmony between masculine and feminine perspectives. The essays reflect not just individual inner dialogue, but a synergy between two souls viewing life from distinct yet interconnected lenses.
Readers are encouraged to treat philosophy not as an academic pursuit but as a daily practice—a form of inner dialogue accessible to all, regardless of formal education. In doing so, Dumitru dismantles the idea that only scholars can contribute to meaningful discussions on human existence.
“Even Kant’s or Rumi’s ideas were just perceptions,” the book reminds us. “And so are ours.”
With poetic language and a conversational tone, Perceptions feels more like a shared meditation than a lecture. It speaks to those navigating questions of identity, consciousness, and life purpose—offering not doctrine, but companionship.
The authors encourage readers to see this work not as a final answer, but as an open invitation to their own philosophical path. In a time when authenticity and depth are more necessary than ever, Perceptions offers a powerful mirror for personal introspection.
